Globally, the shortage of nurses, aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, exerts significant challenges to delivering quality healthcare and meeting diverse population needs.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates a shortage of up to 13 million nurses worldwide1, emphasizing the crucial role of nurses and midwives in protecting and improving public health.
Investing in nursing education and job creation not only enhances health outcomes but also contributes to global health security and inclusive economic growth.

Programme Framework
This unique NLD programme curriculum, developed with active involvement of key nurse stakeholders, and in collaboration with esteemed overseas universities and the University of Hong Kong, is designed to ensure nursing fellows are well-prepared to comprehend and tackle the evolving healthcare challenges, and to lead change.
